Dr. Graicerstein’s Background and Education
Dr. Graicerstein is originally from Brazil, where she earned a dental degree at Pontifícia Universidade Católica-RS. After graduation, she oversaw her own practice for close to 10 years. Then, she moved to the United States and earned her Doctor in Dental Surgery degree from the prestigious New York University College of Dentistry in New York City. While she was there, she received the Dr. Bernard E. Rudner Memorial Award for her outstanding performance in providing oral comprehensive care.
Dr. Graicerstein practiced dentistry in Fairfield, CT, beginning in 2003. We are now delighted to have her taking the lead in our practice here in Torrington.
Dr. Graicerstein’s Approach to Dentistry
“Providing quality dentistry in a comfortable and friendly environment is my goal,” Dr. Graicerstein says. She works to achieve that goal every day by providing top-quality service to each patient she sees. She strives to take time to listen to each individual who entrusts their oral care to her because she knows that healthy doctor-patient relationships are founded on communication and trust.
Dr. Dr. Graicerstein also recognizes that experience and a positive attitude are not in themselves enough to provide truly world-class dentistry. That is why she continually pursues advanced educational opportunities. She has even finished a mini residency in intensive implant placement and has taken courses in CT scan and 3D cone beam reading and diagnosis.
Dr. Graicerstein’s professional affiliations also help her to keep up with the latest advancements in her field. She is a member of:
- The Connecticut State Dental Association
- The American Dental Association
- The Academy of General Dentistry (where she is working toward Fellowship status)
Beyond the Dental Office
When Dr. Graicerstein is not busy working as a dentist in Torrington, she has a number of hobbies that fill her spare time. She loves to travel, take photos, and paint. Of course, one of her favorite things to do is spend time with her family. She is fluent in Portuguese and is able to hold conversations in Spanish.
